trips to ulta, and other makeup.

Yeah, I know... Am I ever going to get back to updating regularly? I plan on doing so! I just ended my second week of training at my new job, and... well, it's a bit stressful. We've got our tests coming up this week, and I hope I do well at them! I'm unfortunately someone who blanks out under pressure. Now, the paper tests I'm not so worried about, because it's an "open book" test, but the mock calls... well, I hope I can do all of that right!
Tonight, I'll be discussing my recent purchases at Ulta. An Ulta finally opened in Nashville. We have two others in the Nashville area, but they're not really in Nashville. I'm going way out of my way when going to the other two stores. I'm so glad there's one now 20 minutes away from my house!

just a few updates...

Well, well! Look who's returned from the blogging dead! I got a new job, and finished my previous job almost two weeks ago. Those last few days were a bit hectic. Instead of lazing around, doing nothing, I ended up doing anything but resting the few days off I had in between jobs...

And my training schedule? Well, I get the weekends off again! Unfortunately, I work 3pm-11pm. I wake up, I lounge around, I sit in a classroom for eight hours, then I come home and go to bed. I have very basic days.

I'm going to get the swing of blogging again tomorrow. I've got some new makeup products, "It's Always Sunny" started again last week (and other shows are starting this month), and I've been watching ER nonstop the past few weeks. (As I type this, I just got done with "Be Still My Heart" and "All in the Family" is starting. That's right, the most iconic Valentine's Day episodes of any show. And, no, I haven't been able to find them online to watch, so instead, I'm a good fan and I've bought seasons 6 and 10 on DVD.)

As far as television goes... well, I won't get into details on tonight's "Breaking Bad", but... OH. MY. GOD. I actually missed the first fifteen minutes, but it doesn't matter, because those last 20 minutes...! Next Sunday can't come any sooner. The premiere of "It's Always Sunny" was this past Wednesday. I'm so glad Dee (Kaitlin Olson) was able to truly headline this episode. I unfortunately spoiled myself, so I found out the big twist before I got to see the episode, but it was still a bit sad, yet predictable. "Futurama" ended, again, this past Wednesday. No one on Twitter or Facebook had said anything about it, but I got spoiled by a news website (MSN or some other site). A new website! It was on their front page! I still haven't seen it, but I'm excited. It seems so very sweet.

My Mom's birthday is tomorrow, and because of me and my sister's work schedules, we went out to eat and celebrate tonight. We went to Rodizo's Brazilian Steakhouse tonight, and... wow. It's pricey, but you get unlimited appetizers - you get three -, unlimited side items - and there's a lot -, and unlimited meat. It's some of the finest meat I have had! Actually, I've had better, but it was still pretty good. I am stuffed to the core!

I went to Ulta on Friday, and bought three types of eyeshadows. I do need to buying eyeshadow, I've got enough to last me at least a year. Ulta has a "21 Days of Beauty" special going on right now, both in stores and online. I briefly glanced through the specials, and... well, I'm very excited about the upcoming deals.

I'm going to finish up this disc of ER before laying down for the night. I am going to keep up with this, this time! With my new job and hopefully new opportunities arising, I'll definitely have more to talk about.

daiso charcoal natural pack face mask

Look at this cutie!

Two weeks ago, when I was decided upon going on a cosmetics haul, I stumbled upon this item. I'm not sure how I stumbled upon this page - I think I was searching for some sort of facial cleanser - but I'm glad I did. I'm always up for trying new and unique items, and this is definitely "new" (as in, it's new to me) and unique!

Even though I received this in the mail a week ago, I didn't try it until last night. Why, I'm not sure, but I figured, I wasn't going to let this collect dust any longer!

sephora - "part of your world" eyeshadow palette

That's right, folks.

For whatever reason, and this must be a first-world problem, because...well, really, especially for the past year, any time I get paid, I just go crazy with my money. I had a lot more to spend with this past paycheck (all thanks to my move), so I spent so much of it on makeup from Sephora and Ulta. Now, I'm really stingy with spending money on cosmetics. I realize the better stuff is more expensive, so any time I do go to a higher-end shop, I make sure to get some free swag with my purchases. I am going to get my money's worth of stuff, and I sure did that this past Friday.

I'll get to the majority of my swag probably tomorrow or Saturday, but today... well, you see that picture. Any 80's/90's girls who are reading this just might be gawking hearing about a name-brand "The Little Mermaid" makeup set. There aren't too many higher-end brands who sell Disney products. MAC had the "Venemous Villains" collection back in 2010 (I still use my Cruella de Vil eyeshadow and lipgloss), and lately Sephora's been releasing various Princess collections (Cinderella & Jasmine). According to various sources, Ariel's collection will be the last by Sephora. I'm surprised, because I know they make money from this. These type of things sell out in a heartbeat. Who knows, their loss might be someone else's gain.

I find it a bit off that this was released within the past month. I figure they would have released this around the time that "The Little Mermaid" is going to be released on blu-ray/3D blu-ray for it's Diamond Edition. I'm not complaining too much, though; I'd rather spend my money in increments than all together. (I'll be spending... probably no more than $40 on the steelbook blu-ray from Zavvi, so I'd rather spend $30 now on this and $40 on that later!) This, of course, reminds me that this film won't be re-released in theatres due to the lack of success of previous Disney re-releases. ("The Lion King" was the only successful re-release, which doesn't surprise me. I have a feeling this would have been profitable, but I guess we'll never know.)

tonymoly - latte art milk-tea morning pack

Last week, I decided I need to get back into a habit of properly cleaning my face. I have Clinique, but I was only using it every now and then. Sunday night, I went out and bought a Clean&Clear set (a deep cleaning toner and a foaming cleanser) to use at night, while I use my Clinique set in the morning.

Friday, I went around searching for various facial products. I don't mind trying out different brands, as long as I carefully look over them to make sure they won't hurt my skin. (I have fairly sensitive skin.) I've been interested in trying out more sleeping/night/morning packs; I once used Tonymoly's Intense Repair Dual Effect Sleeping Pack, and I fell in love with the results. After reading the reviews and the information a bit more, I decided to try out Tonymoly's Latte Art Milk-Tea Morning Pack!

caramel macchiatos and a breakfast sandwich

I'm obsessed with this particular drink...and LINE Camera.

Caramel Macchiato.

My co-worker and I went to Starbucks during lunch yesterday. We weren't too hungry - there was a large potluck in our department yesterday - but we were tired and needing the coffee we hadn't had that morning. I decided to get this drink, a caramel macchiato. I had never tried it before, but I had heard of it many times.

Oh. My. Glob.

I was in Heaven with that first sip. I had to resist the urge to down it like a shot. I was happy I caved in to purchase a Venti - I won't be doing that too often, that thing is over $5 with tax - because that thing is delicious. I shouldn't have been surprised when all the milkiness went away, but that coffee was...quite bitter. Sweet, but bitter. That coffee taste really sits at the bottom unless you stire it up! I finished it, because I needed to stay awake those last few hours.

Mon petit dejouner.

I knew I had to come back today to get it again. I was talking to my friend yesterday, and he recommended the spinach wrap, so I thought, "Well, I'm trying to eat healthier, I'll get a spinach wrap and a coffee!" (I know the coffee isn't healthy, and I doubt the wrap is the healthiest thing in the world, but hey, spinach is healthy, and a diet happens for me one step at a time.) Well, after talking to the barista at Starbucks, the idea of a spinach wrap was thrown away, and I was suddenly interested in a turkey bacon sandwich.

Mon petit dejouner, up close and personal.

I told the lady, "No egg!" and she seemed compliant...until I bit into my sandwich here at work and, low and behold, there's egg. Now, I actually couldn't taste the egg too much at first, but I noticed my sandwich was thicker than it should have been. I looked at it and studied it closely, and determined that there was egg in my sandwich. Normally, I'd pick off the egg and continue on, but eggs are healthy, so I sucked it up - and boy could I now taste that egg in every bit afterwards - and continued on.

Yes, I realize this is not exactly the best "first post" after not posting in a week and a half. I've been housesitting for my parents and helping run my Mom's business, as well as move and have a job interview (I start my new job in September!)... and then I was obsessed with Comic Con last weekend... So I've been pretty busy for a while. I'll be getting back into the swing of things this week, once I stop moving. (Well, tomorrow there should be a post - I'm going to a Fifth Harmony concert and meet&greet. I'm excited about that!)
